In 1988, Bill Heiser founded Southern Coast K9 and he began building his business of providing highly-trained detection and patrol canines and offering specialized K9 training to customers all over the world. This successful business was purchased by AMK9 in early 2014. Since then, there has been a period of transition and we are now rolling out the new brand name - AMK9 Law Enforcement.
Bill Heiser is in charge of AMK9's Law Enforcement Division and he oversees 2 world-class training locations: New Smyrna Beach, Florida and Anniston, Alabama. Our Law Enforcement Division is globally recognized for law enforcement K9 training, and specializes in selecting and pairing high-drive, superior bred dogs with Law Enforcement K9 handlers. We also offer various types of K9 training including drug detection, bomb detection, and dual purpose. Similar to Bill Heiser, the entire Florida Law Enforcement staff of elite trainers also come with extensive experience and knowledge in law enforcement and the military–both here in the United States and in Europe.
